SOKKS Trained Drug Dog in Paris has recieved Bronze Medal
A Special medal of courage to Pacha, a police dog that Paris felt deserved an honor, usually reserved for Human colleagues. With his nose Pacha detected a seizure of one ton of drugs last April.
Today, the dog proudly received a bronze medal, just like a regular cop,”for acts of courage and devotion,”announced by the police in Paris.
Pacha is”unique”in France, the statement said. Pacha was trained in Switzerland using the SOKKS Detection Dog Training method, invented by a German researcher, The Dog has been trained to recognize the smell of certain chemical molecules. Dogs are also trained to detect Drugs and Explosives, Cadver and Arson using the SOKKS method.

Police dogs are trained to be experts in explosives detection (English Version)
Gone was the traditional method, now used capsules containing microparticles with multiple odors.
AN INNOVATIVE METHOD APPLIED SWISS TRAINING FOR DOGS OF SPECIALTY GROUP
crime. The Sokks method is to facilitate the work of training of search dogs. It is done through a molecular
capsules containing odors common to all types of narcotics in the world. In addition, animals from the “search” will become experts in detecting explosives, drugs, dead, missing, other blood and fire accelerants.
This new acquisition is more effective than the traditional method previously used by coaches. This consisted in conditioning the dog smell with each separately. Parts of
explosives, traces of blood, cocaine and other substances that are harmful to eventually staff, dogs, and the environment. The capsules used real
microparticles odors. The advantages are important, since each core include multiple scents, ie from
cadaver blood to include particles of bodies in different stages of decomposition. In drugs include all drugs in all sorts of explosive explosive devices that exist in the
world, so that with one “flavor” the dog is conditioned to many substances and smells different. For people are imperceptible, but for the dog are highly effective, the instructor explained Swiss national, Abin Guido Wyss.
(integrante de Swiss Army Dog Conductor), (Part of Swiss Army Dog Conductor), the professional serves as instructor guides
and dogs in our country to train the “seekers” police. To achieve the target takes into account the high sensitivity of the dog smell combined with a
conditioned behavior called “mark”. Finding the source of odor, the dog shows his find by running a sitting posture. This includes the handling of highly toxic and harmful materials used in traditional
training. This not only refers to the potential dangers they are exposed to agents and dogs, but
also the difficulties of adapting the training to new sources of odors (new
drugs or new explosives). This at once shows the difficulty of acquisition, storage and creation of specialized
facilities to ensure safety for humans and the environment, as well as the
compliance monitoring and management of these harmful substances.
This method is being used worldwide in countries like Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, USA, Israel,
UK and Australia.
This is the result of a scientific collaboration between Professor Dr. Wolf Kafka, Max-Planck Institute for Physiological
behavior and Canine Training Center of the Ministry of Interior of Bayern (Germany).
Currently they have 800 tubes for training police dogs. Police in two Brazilian states: Sao
Paulo and Rio de Janeiro followed the footsteps of Paraguay and also the method
adopted Sokks.Upon completion of the preparation process, the Special Group, the dogs will undergo an evaluation which will be
chaired by a panel of expert judges accredited by the International University of Padua, Italy. This panel of judges would be in charge of certification guide and search dogs from all law enforcement agencies and
military Ameripol area (Latin America) and is the only internationally valid certification recognized.

SOKKS-MPTS is a detection dog training aid. It allows the trainer to condition the dog to the required odour without having handling dangerous or hazardous materials and without the red tape normally associated with using the “ real stuff”. SOKKS-MPTS is a pure odour product, which means it contains minute particles of the actual odour. It is not a simulant, it is the actual odour delivered via odour inert tubes.
There are many benefits to using this product and many trainers around the world are seeing fantastic results by implementing SOKKS-MPTS into their training programs.
Police and Military Dog Units in Australia, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, South Africa and USA use SOKKS-MPTS to condition and maintain their detection dogs.
There are trainers that firmly believe the product has no place in detection dog training. This post, below, to a forum by an Australian trainer typifies the opinion of those trainers that have not used SOKKS-MPTS but still believe they can tell others about it. Old school traditional closed minded thinking is what brings about these comments, unfortunately to the detriment of the detection dog training fraternity and to those that are interested in staying with the times.
